Whilst working with Origin on their Euston Road project, we were approached by the contracts manager for the British Library - Richard Warren. Richard was impressed with the standard of our work in the coffee shop and has since asked us to carry out a number of jobs for the library. These projects have had to be completed to a very high standard as is the rest of the craftsmanship in the library. The British Library was refurbished in the 90’s and designed by architects Sir Colin St. John Wilson and MJ Long. We felt honoured to be asked to make the first replica doors for the library since it reopened in 1997. Made using American White Quarter Sawn veneer with solid Oak inlays they were a real pleasure to make and we were very pleased with the end result, as was Richard.

We also worked on the coffee cart in the entrance hall of the library. Designed by HartMiller we made the solid Oak worktops and Oak panels. Our good friend and very talented Blacksmith Joe - ‘The Gentleman Blacksmith’ made the mild steel framework.
